Augusta House Booking Terms and Conditions
Hello Friends!
WELCOME
Thank you for booking your accommodation at our Augusta weekender. We trust you will have a great holiday and make the most of what this absolute winner of a town has to offer.
You will receive a text with the code to the key lock box on the day preceding your stay. There is a friend with a spare key (if all else fails) nearby.
A compendium is available soon on the website for more info on town, shops, nature, dog beaches. Any issues, call us.
The cottage is not exactly a normal holiday let, as it is still my principal place of residence. Still, there are rules to adhere to so that there are no misunderstandings between friends
BOOKING
All bookings are made for the dates as shown on the response email/letter/receipt. The premises is available after 2.00pm on the day of your arrival and is to be vacated by 10:00am on the day of your departure, unless prior arrangements have been made. The property is to be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival.
GUEST NUMBER AND BEHAVIOUR
Number of Guests will not exceed the number booked! (1,2 or 3) Fees will apply for excess guests. Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic holiday use only and not commercial. Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise form music, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond.
DOGS
Dogs are welcome. The back yard is fully fenced for our dog and we have a doggy door on the back door. The butcher is over the back fence for you and your dog! If your dog is prone to barking, yapping, howling etc please take it with you when you leave the house so that neighbours are not inconvenienced. If they make too many complaints, we won’t be allowed to have the house available to dogs.
There are often possums, skinks, blue tongue lizards and birds in the yard. Sometimes possums get in the roof. Let us know if you hear scratching and we can try to remove the little ratbag, but it’s not a quick job. They scratch and bite!
PAYMENTS
We will only confirm a booking when full payment plus bond has been received. The whole amount of your accommodation must be paid at time of booking to reduce complications for a simple booking. Payments can be made by paypal.
LINEN
Linen is supplied for the main queen bed. Linen can be supplied for $25 for the fold out bed if required.
Don’t forget your dog’s bed! The contact of Red’s doctor, Dr Phil, the Cape Creatures Vet, in Margaret River is on the fridge in the house for emergencies.

PERSONAL PROPERTY
No responsibility is taken for any guest personal property left in, on or near the premises. Doors and windows at the premises should be secured at ALL times. It is recommended that guests take out personal property insurance.
CANCELLATION, BOND AND REBOOKING
All cancellations must be in writing and if less than 14 days’ notice is given, the 50% deposit will be kept. If you can show evidence that you are in isolation for COVID-19 and cannot come, we will refund you so you can re book for another time.
Make sure you have a full tank of fuel when you get to town, in case of Covid or a power outage, or you have to zoom home. There is no 24 hour fuel. Please note that if we are aware the previous tenant has had Covid in the house we will let you know, however no responsibility is taken for this by us.
DAMAGE
The guest will be responsible for damage to the property or premises or loss of or damage to any items at the property, including, but without limiting the generality of the foregoing, floors and floor coverings, furniture and fittings, kitchen utensils, crockery, glassware, cutlery and the guest will pay the full cost of replacement or repair of any such items damaged or lost.
All damage, breakages and losses are to be reported immediately. All furniture and equipment must be left in the premises as originally found.
