Cooking for Independence and Fun
I am launching cooking classes for people who wish to learn how to cook more nutritious, tasty food for themselves.
My classes are individually designed to be delivered to people receiving NDIS assistance, however I am happy to teach anyone.
I am a qualified chef, owning four cafes and cooking homestyle food for hungry workers on cattle stations, mine sites, planes and marine vessels.
I have medical indemnity and am studying Aged and Disability Care. Safety is of the highest importance and safe use of kitchen equipment is a priority.
I am based in both Augusta and Manjimup and happy to travel North to Bunbury, inland to Mount Barker area. I can do two-three day sessions classes up to the greater Perth metro area if that’s where you are!
Classes can be ongoing or a limited number of dishes taught – it’s flexible for your goals.
We can also batch cook and freeze your meals in attractive portion containers so can you pull out a favourite every day/night!
Wouldn’t it be lovely to pull out one of your own nutritious, cost effective meals for yourself or to share with a visitor?
I’m happy for your to buddy up with a friend, partner or carer, however groups are a maximum of two people to enable me to really help you make your favourite dishes with confidence in the future.
Suitable for clients who want some or all of the following outcomes:
Learn how to cook those dishes that you’ve always wanted to learn
Learn how to cook simple and easy, to medium-difficulty dishes
Cook in your own home with your own equipment
Learn hacks/tricks to make some tasks more easily tailored to physical limitations
People who want to be more independent in their food choices
Learn how to use kitchen tools properly, such as how to sharpen a knife
Classes can be intensive or just a relaxed slow cooking experience, depending on your style of learning.
